Groups will work directly with main executive committee
The Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) has formed three separate groups that will deal specifically with areas such as larger intermediary membership.
Three new sub committees, working directly with the main executive committee, will look after: provider membership, employee benefits and larger intermediary membership, and standards and relationships.
Wayne Pontin (pictured), chairman of AMII, will be a member of each committee and said the new structure will help to raise awareness.
He said: “These are the foundation blocks to AMII raising standards and becoming the reference organisation for the healthcare insurance industry.
“The sub committees are designed to increase awareness and improve our visibility whilst at the same time ensuring we have a sound financial footing and are truly representative of all distribution channels across all sectors of health insurance.”
Pontin added that AMII will be issuing its mission statement and objectives following a complete review of its existing constitution.
