App aims to help advisers sell modular PMI plan
Exeter Family Friendly has launched an iPad application for advisers to help them sell the provider’s private medical insurance (PMI) plan to clients.
The app, which also produces quotes, is designed to help intermediaries engage with consumers and explain Exeter’s Health Choices for Me plan.
Mike O’Brien, head of intermediary sales at Exeter Family Friendly, said: “We know that PMI is a tricky sale for advisers as it can be complex and difficult to understand for their customers and that is one of the big challenges we’ve tried to tackle in the design of this app.
“Touchscreen technology gives consumers the chance to get closer to and engage more in the insurance plan they buy.”
He added that the app highlights the simple choices consumers need to make when selecting a policy, as well as showing instantly the effect these choices have on price.
Brian Walters, principal at specialist PMI adviser Regency Health, said: "This is an innovative and impressive quote engine from Exeter Family Friendly that makes great use of touch-screen technology. It raises the bar for quoting on modular PMI products."
