Senior appointments and latest people moves


Richard Davey

Richard Davey has been appointed head of commercial development at Enrich, the employee benefits consultancy.

With over 15 years industry experience, Davey has spent the previous three years working firstly at SBJ which subsequently merged into Bluefin. As head of the Health & Risk Practice at Bluefin Corporate Consulting, he managed the harmonisation and consolidation of the various Bluefin companies.

At Enrich he will report into the organisation's CEO, Bob Gogel.


Phil Jeynes

Phil Jeynes, head of new business, Direct Life & Pensions Services, is to join PruProtect, the protection provider.

Jeynes will take up the role of head of account development on 1st January 2011. His role will be to focus on strengthening broker relationships, developing the PruProtect proposition further and liaising with the press.

He joins PruProtect soon after the appointment of Nick Erskine as national account manager responsible for strategic relationships with networks.


Stuart Scullion

The Private Health Partnership (PHP), one of the largest independent private medical insurance (PMI) intermediaries in the UK, has appointed Stuart Scullion as managing director.

Scullion will step up from his current role as sales and marketing director on 1 January 2011.

Jan Lawson will become group managing director of PHP's three companies - the care services provider RED ARC, the treatment sourcing service Medical Care Direct and PHP itself. Lawson has been managing director of PHP since she co-founded the company in 1989.

PHP was acquired by Skipton Building Society in 2002 and currently employs 75 staff at its headquarters in Baildon in Yorkshire. It looks after more than 8,000 corporate and company clients, trade associations and individuals with an annual premium income in excess of £40m.


John Heatley

PMI Health Group, the specialist provider of employee healthcare and health insurance services, has appointed John Heatley as a senior sales consultant.

Heatley joins the company from Enrich and brings with him eight years of group risk, healthcare and absence management expertise. Heatley joined Enrich, formally Gissings, as a healthcare administrator in 2001 before taking on the role of client director.

His new position at PMI Health Group will see him supporting the company's expansion in the London large corporate markets. He joins Iain Laws, also formerly of Enrich, who joined PMI Health Group earlier this year.


Mike Farrell

Mike Farrell has joined insurance, investment and retirement group, LV= as head of protection sales.

Farrell will be responsible for business development and overseeing the account management teams who look after protection sales through IFAs. He joins LV= from protection provider Royal Liver where he was responsible for sales, marketing and agency management.

Farrell has spent 23 years working in the intermediated marketplace, starting his career at Fidelity Investments before moving to Swiss Life in 1990. He will report to Mark Jones, head of protection.


John Edwards

Mutual insurance, retirement and investment group LV= has appointed John Edwards as a non-executive director.

Over the last 15-20 years, he has held a variety of senior roles at HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group, including chief executive of Clerical Medical Investment Group, HBOS's Insurance and Investment Division, and Lloyds Banking Group's International Financial Services operation.
