Chase Templeton Group, the Isle of Man-based broker consolidator, announced the acquisition today of private medical insurance (PMI) specialist Jigsaw Healthcare for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition, which is the second in two weeks for Chase Templeton, takes its overall portfolio to in excess of £63m annual premium income. It follows the acquisition of Healthcare Quotations Ltd, the Oxford and Gloucester based brokerage, at the beginning of April.
Kevin Amphlett, CEO of Chase Templeton, said that Jigsaw, which was established in 1981, was a "good fit" for the group, being made up predominantly SME PMI clients with a "smattering" of individual business.
"It's another step forward towards our goal of becoming the largest individual and SME PMI specialists in the UK," he added.
It is understood that Chase Templeton outbid a number of other bidders to acquire Jigsaw, whose managing director, Christine Baines, is now planning to retire.
Amphlett added that Chase Templeton remains keen to acquire more brokerages, particularly those with individual and SME books.
