Willis Group Holdings, the global insurance broker, has appointed Silvia Rojas as multinational client services manager for Willis’ Employee Benefits Practice. Rojas will be based in London and report to the regional European manager Dieter Gistelinck. She joins Jeremy Povey on the London-based Multinational Employee Benefits Team. Rojas has six years of experience in the field of international employee benefits with a particular focus on risk benefit financing solutions such as multinational pooling and captive solutions. She joins Willis from the Mercer International Consulting Practice in London and prior to that worked on multinational pooling accounts in the UK regional office at Generali Employee Benefits Network.

Peter Elliott has joined Bluefin Insurance Services as head of marketing with immediate effect. Elliott joins Bluefin after it was established earlier his year, bringing together a group of businesses from both the insurance and financial advisory worlds. Bluefin said his appointment will strengthen its Markets area, which is headed up by Dave Ball and drive the business forward as a single entity. Elliott joins Bluefin from Rushton International, the asset valuation business, where he was marketing director. Prior to his current role, he led the Travelers’ Insurance marketing team with responsibility for marketing, brand and PR across the UK, and developed joint marketing initiatives directly with brokers.

Peter Staddon has been appointed to the board and the Grants Committee of The Insurance Charities, which gives financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry, and their dependent relatives. Staddon, who is head of technical services at the British Insurance Brokers Association, joined the Grants Committee for his first meeting in February and his appointment will give him involvement in the allocation of charitable funds, the strategic direction of the charity and acting as guardian of the charity’s assets.

InterGlobal, the international private medical insurance (PMI) provider, has appointed Geoff Maggs as UK sales manager. Maggs has over 19 years’ experience within the insurance industry, working with competitor international PMI provider Allianz Worldwide Care and, prior to that, domestic PMI provider BCWA. As sales manager for the UK, his focus will be to support and develop the intermediary base in the UK to drive InterGlobal’s growth plans, the company said.

Chubb Insurance has appointed Neil Marking as senior accident and health underwriter for the London region at Chubb Insurance Europe. Marking will report in to Steve Ranzetta, London accident and health manager. He joins Chubb after eight years at ACE Insurance where he worked as senior development underwriter within the London retail market.
