Advisers can now use Direct Life & Pension Services Ltd's (DLPS) LifeQuote Protection Portal to compare pricing options across all variations of PruProtect's Serious Illness offering.
Neil McCarthy, sales & marketing director at DLPS, said: " Advisers who are discussing and recommending the serious illness concept to their clients need an accurate platform to enable them to evaluate this plan's costs against more traditional critical illness plans. By delivering an area that allows the full range of costs for the Primary and Comprehensive options, together with offering Minimum Protected Account and Protected Life Cover options, advisers are able to quickly show customers the range of costs and how they compare to traditional critical illness plans."
Andy Philo, national account director from PruProtect, said: "LifeQuote is the only quote portal to deliver the full range of PruProtect product options available to advisers in one place, simplifying the process and making the comparison of options easier. This is a great development and we are delighted to be working with LifeQuote to help deliver this functionality to advisers who use their portal."
PruProtect's serious illness cover differs significantly from traditional critical illness products, covering up to 154 conditions (depending on whether primary or comprehensive cover is taken out) and matching pay-outs to the severity of the policy-holder's illness. The Minimum Protected Account enables policy-holders to top up their cover to a chosen amount after each claim, without any new exclusions or premium changes, while the Protected Life Cover option tops up just the life cover back to its original amount following a serious illness cover claim.
