Annual limits for plans increased
ALC Health has made a number of cover and benefit enhancements to its Prima range of international private medical insurance plans.
The firm has increased the overall annual limits on its Premier, Classic and Ibérica plans, as well as improving pregnancy and newborn cover.
Prima Premier now has an annual policy limit of £2.5m, while the Classic and Iberica plans have seen their annual limit rise from £1m to £1.25m.
Under all three plans newborn congenital cover is now included as standard with a lifetime limit of £100,000, and premature birth cover – previously only available under Prima Premier – has been added to the Prima Classic and Ibérica plans.
A wider selection of routine maternity options sees Prima Premier now offering four limit choices, while both Prima Classic and Ibérica have a choice of two options.
All ALC Health Prima plans now include cover for ‘complications of pregnancy’ up to the full annual policy limit as standard whether or not the optional routine pregnancy packages have been purchased.
The changes are effective from June 1 2012.
Andrew Apps, director at ALC Health, said: "Following our change of underwriting security in December 2011 to AXA PPP International we have used the opportunity to look closely at the scope of benefits that we are able to offer our policyholders."
