App available to members and non members
Aviva has launched a new app which aims to identify the causes of stress and help manage its symptoms.
My Stress Kit is free to download on iPhones and Android devices and is available to both members and non members of Aviva.
Users can complete a short quiz and input the events and triggers that cause them to feel under pressure in order to help identify their stress levels.
The app then provides a stress diary timeline graph to enable users to track their moods and identify their own trigger points, alongside practical tips and advice from clinical experts.
Dr Doug Wright, medical director at Aviva UK Health, said: “Most of us experience situations that make us feel stressed and under pressure, but we don’t always recognise what the triggers are. My Stress Kit is an engaging app that will help people of all ages understand and manage the everyday pressures of life.
“We’ve drawn upon our in-house clinical expertise and worked closely with psychiatric nurses and a GP to develop a range of handy hints to help My Stress Kit users manage any stressful situations in their lives, before they get out of control.”
Aviva’s offering is the latest industry app to come to market, following the Health Insurance app for iPhone and iPad, and the iPad app from Exeter Family Friendly - which aims to help advisers sell the firm’s private medical insurance plan to clients - both of which were launched in April.
