Engage Mutual launches voluntary cash plan option

Introducing employee-paid version of One Fund plan

Engage Mutual is introducing a voluntary option for its One Fund health cash plan.

The plan is now available on an employee-paid basis, which will cost between £10 and £20 a month per member.

It offers cash back on a range of treatments, including dental, optical, health screenings, consultations and counselling up to a maximum overall limit of £1,000 a year. Each benefit category is subject to a £25 excess.

Helen Smith, head of Engage Mutual Health, said health cash plans represent an affordable option for employers and are growing in popularity.

She said: “Following corporate and broker feedback, we’ve recognised that employers continue to value the benefits that health cash plans provide, but some have a limited budget, so we’re delighted to make One Fund even more flexible and to provide employers with a choice.”

Engage Mutual took on the rights to sell the One Fund cash plan, which was previously sold by National Friendly, in August 2011.
